This page describes AMJOU’s intended privacy practices for the features listed below. Specific processing depends on which providers and features are enabled on the live server. For privacy questions or deletion requests, use the contact details at the bottom of this page.
AMJOU processes submitted questions to retrieve available Islamic sources and generate answers. Depending on the live configuration, question content is sent to the configured AI provider. A question is sent to the optional web-search provider only after the visitor chooses “Yes, search the web.” Webpages and search providers are external services and have their own terms and privacy practices. Avoid entering private or sensitive personal information.
Guests can use the chat without signing in. Guest messages are not automatically saved to the visitor's Google Drive. The owner should document any server logs or retention practices used by the deployed application.
If Google sign-in is enabled and a user authorizes Drive access, AMJOU stores basic account details and encrypted OAuth refresh-token material on its server and creates chat documents in a folder named “AMJOU Chats” in that user's Google Drive. The permission is intended to be limited to files created or selected for use by AMJOU. Users can revoke access from their Google Account security settings. Sign-out does not delete documents already saved in Drive.
If Google Analytics is configured, it is loaded only after a visitor accepts analytics in the site's preference banner. AMJOU's client code is designed not to send question text, answer text, names, email addresses, or source URLs as Analytics event parameters.
For privacy questions or account/chat deletion requests, contact feedback@amjou.com. A deletion request may require identifying and deleting documents in Google Drive as well as the related AMJOU account metadata.
